This was the first river cruise we've taken, and the best cruise we've ever been on (altogether we've taken about 12 ocean cruises). We were on an 18 cabin boat with beautiful cabins, and with spacious showers, far larger than any we've seen on previous cruises. The cruise director was exceptionally good, and the food quality was excellent. The fact that the boat was small enabled us to go from Ho Chi Minh City to a variety of small, out of the way villages as well as larger cities such as Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Everything was well-organized and the day trips were limited to mornings and/or afternoons, so that we had time to recover and eat lunch on the boat.

This one was on the top list of Top Mekong Cruises, and for us, it truly matched with what we expect. The Jahan cruise is high-class level, and the lower deck cabin provides us the sight of the Mekong. The service was really satisfying, and the staff are gentle and attentive. The silver service was also excellent with savory food, especially for buffet and BBQ. It felt like we were having a private party with 15 of us and more than 40 staff. No phone is available in the dining room, while Wifi is only provided in the Lounge area, but it doesn't matter. During our trip, Tea was our guide. He was passionate and had deep knowledge about his country. Thanks to him, we could understand more about Cambodia’s background and the people. It was an incredible trip as we experienced a part of Cambodian people’s life. We also even got a rare chance when we were invitied to a village’s party we visited and we were treated as honored guests.

This Jahan cruises's design reminisce the Indian Raj. It sails wonderfully between Saigon and Siem Reap. They must had put much thought on the ship, from large to small stuffs. And it created a extremely good feeling for the guests, despite of small squabble along the trail. But with all of those aside, the journey across Tonle Sap like near the end of the trip was what we had been expecting. We had been warned by the cruise that there might be changes to the itinerary, depended on the low-water level, and, it happened. Our second deck room had reasonable space and it had everything we expected from a luxurious hotel. The shower had plenty of hot water, but with no bath. There were many power outlets, allowing us to recharged our camera and computer, including adapters if necessary. In spite of having no TV, Wifi was available. All rooms had air-conditioner, though there were some hiccups, probably with the system somewhere else during the ride. We had three varied meals each day, and as the trip went on, there are more and more cries about “Too much food”. Coffee, tea, and water were continuously used without paying, but we had to pay for soft and alcoholic drinks. Every day was filled with lots of events. Coffee and Tai Chi practicing at 6:00am every morning. Next, we visited islands, fishing hamlets, farms,... after breakfast. On a full excursions day in Phnom Penh, we came to the Royal Palace and museum, then we had lunch at a local restaurant. There were variety of informative, and also comfortable events. Some events were even excluded to have breakfast in our room with no charge and come to the spa for massage.
